taken

direct
digital
display
using
an
Electronic
eye
sensor.
Digital
display
of
the
penetration
enables
the
user
to
monitor
the
penetration
reading
directly
on
the
digital
display
having
an
accuracy
of
0.01
mm.
The
unit
is
mounted
on a
heavy
base
fitted
with
a
spirit
level,
leveling
screws,
centering
device,
Low-voltage
illuminator
& a
magnifying
glass
mounted
on
flexible
arm
attached
to
the
Penetrometer
base
for
precise
measurements.
A
vertical
pillar
incorporating
a
miniature
motor
mechanisim
is
mounted
on
the
plate
to
control
the
rough
(fast)
&
fine
(slow)
movements
for
the
adjustment
of
the
plunger/cone/needle.
The
digital
display
indicator
and
penetration
holder
is
positioned
above
the
sample
by
means
of
an
adjustable
arm
controlled
by a
miniature
motor.
